Below is the current list of activities we intend to offer at Rali Cymru. This list isn't finalised yet and pricing and numbers may change - if there's something you'd like to see here, let us know and we'll see what we can do!

Monopoly Run - Cardiff Edition

A true SSAGO staple! Start your Rali Saturday off right with a chance to explore Wales' capital city whilst also competing with others to visit the most landmarks!

Morning Off In Cardiff

Fancy exploring in your own time? Take the morning off and you're free to go wherever you like around the city. City guides will be provided if you want a more structured morning off, in the form of an Ideas leaflet and members of Cardiff SSAGS and USW.

SSAGO Goes To Spoons

In what is becoming a SSAGO tradition, head to a local 'spoons for breakfast and unlimited coffee to ease into your day. Due to Welsh hospitality restrictions we may need to split participants into groups of 6.

City Centre Geocaching

For a different way to discover the city, go hunting for hidden capsules in unusual locations across the centre!

ALL DAY ACTIVITY - Easy Hike

Where else could we go for a day of walking but the Brecon Beacons? This circular 5km hike will climb the Beacons Way path to the summit of Pen-Y-Fan, and may include other peaks nearby. This route is aimed at people who want to enjoy a relaxed day of walking without rushing to complete the climb, taking in the sights the Beacons have to offer.

ALL DAY ACTIVITY - Hard Hike Full

Where else would we go for a day of walking but the Brecon Beacons? This 9km circular hike will climb the Cefyn Cwm Llych ridge to reach the summit of Pen-Y-Fan, across the tops to Cribyn and descend the adjacent ridge. The route is aimed at the more experienced walker, with steep rocky climbs and descents and covering a large distance over the day.

ALL DAY ACTIVITY - Day Off in Swansea

Been to Cardiff too many times, or fancy a day at the seaside? Wales' second city has you covered! With a trio of free museums, a rich industrial heritage, a hilltop walk with a comanding view of the city, and literally miles of beach, what more could you want? The exact shape of this activity will be determined by those attending - you can agree to either stick together for the day, or split up. City guides will be provided in the form of an Ideas booklet and some SUGS members! Please be aware travel will be by PUBLIC TRANSPORT from Cardiff Central and may require tickets to be purchased.

Penderyn Whisky Distillery

Penderyn Distillery produces award-winning single malt whiskies and spirits in the foothills of the magnificent Brecon Beacons in South Wales. During the hour-long tour you will learn about the founding of Penderyn, how the award-winning whisky is made and what makes it so unique. See the mill, mash tun, and innovative single copper-pot Penderyn stills. At the end of your tour sample some of the products in the Tasting Bar.

Big Pit Full

Experiance a real coal mine and one of Britain's leading mining museums. Featuring the world-famous Underground Tour, go 300 feet underground with a real miner and see what life was like for the thousands of men who worked at the coal face, as well as viewing the range of exhibitions and galleries.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to being an active mine under the Coal Mines Act, accessibility is limited and all battery-powered devices are prohibited underground; please see Big Pit's website for more information.

St Fagan's Outdoor Museum

St Fagan's is the people's museum of Wales, home to over forty original buildings from different historical periods in the 100-acre parkland. You can enjoy viewing, exploring and learning about the historic buildings, discovering the history of Wales and it's populace, and watch craftsmen practicing traditional skills in their workshops and farmyard.

Bushcraft-ernoon

Spend the afternoon on-site, where local scout leaders Julian & Budgie will guide you through a range of outdoor and down-to-earth cooking methods on an open fire, preparing both a meal and a variety of snacks. May also include tomahawk throwing, depending on numbers.

Cardiff Castle

In a country renowned for its collection of majestic castles (Wales has over 400 of them), Cardiff is proud to be a little different. Cardiff Castle has not only survived the centuries but evolved with them in a fashion that few other sites can claim. Surrounded by beautiful parklands on one side and a thriving, modern metropolis on the other, Cardiff Castle is the historic heart of Wales’ capital city. Inside you’ll find a story 2000 year in the making, just waiting to be told.

Chance & Counters Board Game Café Full

Chance & Counters provide a space for board gamers of all ages and abilities to enjoy, from casual players to seasoned strategists. They also offer a range of food and drink, including local craft beers & ciders and seasonal, locally-sourced food. With more than 500 games to choose from, why not play the afternoon away!

Treetop Adventure Golf

Compete with eachother over two rounds of jungle-themed minigolf! Navigate your way through the rainforest canopy, chat with cheeky toucans, head past the Towering Trees, watching out for thunderstorms and lightening as you go. Oh, and listen out for our singing barbershop frogs as you wade though the murky swamp.

Short Hike - Cardiff Bay

Take in the sights of Cardiff Bay in this leisurely circular walk. The path is mostly paved and level so suitable for all abilities.

Infiinity Trampoline Park

It's time to get airborne! Spend 2 hours in a freestyle indoor trampoline park with over 70 inter-connected trampolines. Walk the walls, compete in the dodgeball arena, flip onto the airbag or slam dunk in the basketball zone, with safety marshals on hand to encourage your progression!

PLEASE NOTE: Grip socks are mandatory on the trampolines. You can either bring your own pair, or purchase a pair from reception for £2. Please also be ready to sign and return a WAIVER if you select this activity.

Boulders Rock Climbing

Boulders is offering an exciting and challenging session of rope climbing, in the shape of a 2-hour session tailored to the requirements of those who book on. All abilities welcome, from novice to experienced Welsh Mountain Goat!

Techniquest Nearly Full

For an afternoon of science-filled fun, choose Techniquest! This waterfront-located museum is full of interactive exhibits covering a range of topics. Why not feed your curiosity - and inner child?

National Museum Cardiff

With exhibitions ranging from art to geology and natural history, the National Museum has something to amaze everyone, whatever your interest – and admission is free! Take a 4,600-million year journey in The Evolution of Wales from the very beginnings of time to the present day, bringing you face to face with dinosaurs and woolly mammoths along the way. Or witness Wales’s diverse natural history that begins at the seashore and ends in the mountains, or get hands-on with museum objects such as insects, fossils and Bronze Age weapons.
